I believe that at its core, therapy is forming a positive relationship, and then using that relationship to motivate and reinforce healing and change. My greatest strength as a therapist is that I care - I care about the clients in my care, their lives, and their futures.

I have worked with adults, children, and families in a variety of settings and have a strong history of helping children and parents adapt to challenges in their lives.  Since 2013 I have enjoyed helping people overcome anxiety, manage depression, and process the things that have happened in their lives.

My clinical background and training is in behavioral and cognitive behavioral work with a focus on behavioral and mental health and includes working with families and individuals. I have training and experience in treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, behavioral and conduct disorders, attention deficit, general transition and adjustment issues, and family conflicts and dynamics.

For me, therapy is a safe place to truly explore the areas of our lives that impact our daily interactions with ourselves and those around us. Sometimes, when we go somewhere new we need a guide, someone who can help us climb the steep mountains safely and maneuver the hard terrain that can come.  My goal as your therapist is to be that guide and help you navigate through the discoveries made throughout the process. Therapy can be emotionally challenging and can bring about vulnerability that is uncomfortable at times but what I hope to create for you is a place where you know your vulnerability will be protected and safe.

I have worked with clients to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. I hope to provide a comfortable place for you so we can go on the journey that is therapy together.

Hello, there! My name is Ali (she/her), and I'm a therapist dedicated to both the art and science of you.

Throughout our lifespan, we learn to trust patterns. Sometimes, the patterns we live with keep us stuck engaging in habits we don't like, or just not feeling like ourselves. I believe we all have the innate ability to become aware of and change the behaviors, patterns, and habits that no longer serve us. By compassionately observing the patterns that fill your days and create your current Self, we can uncover your unique path to long-lasting healing.

My goal as a therapist is to provide you a safe space to learn about your beliefs and values, make meaning from your experiences, develop unique coping skills, gain clarity, and build internal resilience and accountability. I work with clients navigating difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment challenges, and trauma. I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership; so, whatever your story may bring, I hope to partner alongside you to do the work together.

My journey in the helping professions spans over two decades, working with diverse populations, including supporting adults and adolescents with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum, and working with individuals struggling with mental health challenges in a residential setting.

These experiences have taught me the importance of meeting clients where they are, listening with an open mind, and working together to find what works best for them. I believe in the power of authentic connection and collaboration, and I'm committed to providing a compassionate and non-judgmental space where clients feel supported and empowered. I have made it my life’s work to help people tap into their inner strength and resilience—I believe everyone has the potential for positive change, and I'm honored to be a part of that process.

As a master's level Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Southern New Hampshire University, I'm excited to bring my experience and passion to my internship—I hope to continue learning and growing as a counselor as I contribute to Alliance’s mission of providing exceptional mental health care.

I am so excited to have completed my graduate coursework in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University, allowing me to begin here at Alliance! I believe that therapy offers a safe and nonjudgmental place for both self-reflection and healing. I am passionate about creating that place for anyone who needs support navigating life's challenges, needs someone to listen, and for those who want to learn more about themselves. In our busy world, therapy allows time and space for you to work towards becoming the most authentic version of yourself. I believe you will always know yourself best; my role is simply to empower you throughout your individual journey.

My previous work included providing children, teenagers, and parents with in-home therapeutic services alongside Master's level Clinicians. Through that role I gained experience supporting individuals and families with adjustments to life changes, anxiety, depression, OCD, and processing trauma. I am thrilled to be combining my past experiences and my graduate education, while continuing to build my knowledge through my internship to provide the best possible counseling experience for you. Therapy is truly a team effort and I cannot wait to cheer you on along the way!

Psychiatric Nurse Practictioner

Works primarily with...

  • Adults

  • Adolescents

I bring experience working with patients from age 12 into late adulthood in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD/other trauma disorders, and ADHD. Throughout my experiences in behavioral health, I have felt that therapeutic relationships are best built on a foundation of warmth and support, rather than authoritarian instruction without shared decision-making.

The choice to use medication to treat psychiatric symptoms is a personal, and for some, difficult one. My goal as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is to recommend medications based on a holistic understanding of your mental, medical, and social needs.

I offer a non-judgmental and safe space to explore emotions and behaviors that are difficult to acknowledge and confront, so that we can work on making you feel and function better. My prescribing philosophy is to select the medications that fit your needs and to provide counseling about these medications so that you can make an informed choice between available options.

Most often, I tend to take a gentle approach, starting with low doses and working incrementally toward getting the best therapeutic doses as we see how you respond to the medication.

Finding the right treatment can be a process of trial and error, but I am also here to guide you through these frustrations and other obstacles.
